Thermal Controllers for Electrical Enclosures

IP Enclosures provide a range of thermal control products for electrical enclosures. The range of controllers are suitable for use with IP Enclosures range of heating and cooling products. The range includes thermostats, hygrostats, electronic thermostat temperature controllers and fan speed controllers. Electrical enclosures may require cooling or heating to manage the internal climate within the external climate to mitigate risks of equipment failure. Cooling and heating units do not need to run continuously but need to be controlled to switch on and off to prevent overcooling or overheating and to manage energy consumption. Thermostats sense the temperature inside the enclosure in relation to a setpoint, which is either the minimum or maximum temperature that the enclosure should maintain. The thermostat will switch on and off climate protection products including fans and/or heaters. Hygrostats sense the relative humidity inside the enclosure. If the relative humidity rises above the setpoint, the contacts close to start the heater. Since warm air can hold more water vapor than cold air, the temperature increase caused by the heater causes the relative humidity to decrease. Manufacturers of electronics typically specify acceptable levels of relative humidity therefore set the hygrostat accordingly. If not specified, typically set the hygrostat to 70-75%. IP Enclosures thermal control products are manufactured to the highest quality in Italy.
